"That's what NWFusion.com is reporting, saying Microsoft has proposed a
set of remedies that could potentially bring its antitrust case to a
close on terms similar to those agreed to in a settlement last month
with the Department of Justice and nine states. The Register puts it
this way: "The beast of Redmond rants at rebel states."

Madcap maneuvers halt MS hearing
"Wired: "U.S. Senators were set to hear all about the Justice
Department's antitrust settlement with Microsoft. Then what happened
was, well, bizarre. Declan McCullagh and Ben Polen report from
Washington."

This one is particularly bad. No more Senate hearing and Leahy brief
filed with the Judge before the January 26th Tunney Act comment period
deadline.
