The DANEnet Day of Service is less than two weeks away! Currently we
have 11 volunteers signed up which would be fine if we planning on
sending one volunteer to each site. But some of these projects are
pretty big - one is a new network installation with a dozen drops;
there are three community centers needing PC deployment with 8, 9 and
12 workstations waiting for installation.
If you know you'd like to help out, but just haven't taken the time
to sign up - please head to our website and fill out the volunteer
form: http://www.danenet.org/dos/volunteer_indi_sign.php
If you just don't have time for internet forms - please call or email
me to say, "Yes, I'll be there, sign me up for whatever."
If you haven't yet decided, take a look at the list of projects to
see if something peeks your interest - them either fill out the
volunteer form (preferred) or contact me.
-new network installation
-PC refurbishing
-website design
-network troubleshooting
-replace a lab of older PCs with 12 newer, faster workstations
-install 8 brand new workstations in an existing computer lab
-replace 9 older PCs with newer, faster workstations for staff and
public use
-install 2 computers on a simple peer-to-peer network
Thanks again. The Day of Service would just be the Day . . . without
the volunteers. Non-profits truly appreciate your time and your
skills - the work you do is a huge help to their bottom line. Hope to
see you there.
